Felicia is a PACFA Registered Counsellor who is passionate about supporting people to better understand themselves, navigate life’s challenges and build a stronger sense of wellbeing. She brings experience from alcohol and other drug (AOD) services, domestic violence services and school settings. Felicia aims to offer a respectful, compassionate space where people can feel heard and explore their experiences at their own pace.
Coming from a multicultural background, Felicia understands that culture can be an important part of a person’s identity, relationships and experience of the world. She values learning about each client’s unique cultural background and perspective, and approaches this with openness, respect and curiosity.
Her practice is grounded in a person-centred approach. Felicia works collaboratively with each client, recognising that everyone brings their own story, strengths and needs to counselling. She also draws on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), adapting her approach to what feels relevant and helpful for the person she is supporting.
Felicia has a particular interest in attachment-focused and developmental work, and in supporting people through grief and loss and questions of identity. She is interested in how our relationships and life experiences can shape the way we see ourselves and move through the world. In counselling, she supports clients to explore these themes with care, develop greater self-understanding and consider what may help them move forward.
Felicia holds a Master of Counselling, a Bachelor of Psychology and an Art Therapy certification. She is committed to promoting mental health awareness and supporting people to build insight, recognise their strengths and work towards a greater sense of balance and wellbeing.
