Madeline began her journey with St John WA in 2015 as an Event Health Services volunteer, later joining as a paid employee in 2021. In 2024, she transitioned to the Psychology and Wellbeing Services team, inspired by her ongoing counselling studies.
Madeline has a Bachelor of Health Science degree and has worked in various areas of primary prevention and health promotion including migrant health, chronic disease management and water safety.
With a strong interest in alcohol and other drug counselling, trauma-informed practice, and somatic-based therapy, Madeline brings a compassionate and person-centred approach to her work, supporting individuals to recognise and build upon their inner strengths. She is passionate about psychoeducation, building resilience, and the value in peer support networks.
Madeline is a self-care nut, often trialing what works for her and exploring what has worked for others. In her spare time, Madeline teaches Vinyasa and Yin style yoga. She is a herbal tea enthusiast, lover of scuba diving, ecstatic dance, and retreats.
