The team at Joondalup Psychology Centre specialises in working with children, adults, older adults, veterans, and people undergoing medico-legal and other forensic issues.
All JPC psychologists offer Telehealth consultations; e.g. Skype, FaceTime, Zoom, VSee.
We are outcome-focused and typically expect to see measurable improvement between three and seven sessions, depending on the nature and severity of the problem.
Joondalup Psychology Centre (JPC) is a team of specialist Clinical Psychologists complemented with highly experienced Clinical Psychologist Registrars and Registered Psychologists.
All JPC psychologists are members of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). All Clinical Psychologists and Clinical Psychologist Registrars have membership in the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
The team specialises in working with children, adults, older adults, veterans, people undergoing medico-legal and other forensic issues.
We are outcome focused and typically expect to see measurable improvement between three and seven sessions – of course depending on the nature and severity of the problem.
The team works collaboratively with referring doctors and families (with clients’ consent) with referrals coming from GPs, psychiatrists, pain specialists, obstetricians and gynaecologists, paediatricians, neurologists, educational institutions and lawyers.
JPC support staff have been selected for their competence, integrity and interpersonal skills so clients can expect a respectful, friendly and professional atmosphere.
The JPC team believe that the psychological wellness of clients is a collaborative effort between the knowledge and skills of the psychologist coupled with the client’s willingness to bring their strength, hope and experience to the therapeutic process.
Clients are encouraged to practice coping strategies to more effectively manage their feelings, thinking and behaviour, as well as developing insight and understanding of themselves and their issues.
Specialised treatments such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Schema Therapy and other clinically proven therapies are used as appropriate to best serve individual need and achieve maximum success in the shortest possible time frame.
