Lina is a clinical psychologist with a background in nursing and over 20 years’ experience in health in corrective services and inpatient and outpatient psychological services in the hospital setting and more recently in private practice.
Drawing from the disciplines of clinical psychology and nursing, Lina’s therapeutic style is client centred, holistic and compassionate. Lina is committed to providing evidence based treatment, tailored to each person’s unique needs, with an underlying recognition of the vital importance of developing a strong therapeutic relationship to facilitate positive outcomes for your psychological wellbeing.
Lina works with individuals and couples of all ages with a wide range of psychological concerns and mental health issues, including trauma, anxiety, stress,depression, bipolar disorder, self-harm, personality disorders, eating disorders, grief, adjustment to separation/divorce, adjustment to chronic illness (eg diabetes) and pain.
Lina combines components from the modalities of cognitive behaviour therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, eye movement desensitization therapy, mindfulness, psychodynamic and compassion focused therapy with her clients.
