About

Martinovich Psychological Services is a small, friendly and professionally established provider of clinical and forensic services with practices in Fremantle, Rockingham, and in the South-West of Western Australia. Our practices are centrally located, close to public transport, and provide free visitor/client parking. Our practices each have very welcoming and private consulting rooms for counselling. MPS psychologists are trained to deliver individual, couple, group and family interventions, counselling/therapy is also available for children and teenagers.

 


Psychologists

ANGELA MARTINOVICH has directed the practice as the Principal Clinical Psychologist since the practice opened in 2004. Angela has worked in social service fields in the UK and Australia since 1995. She has studied clinical and forensic psychology and worked as a psychologist in the WA public sector since 2001. Angela works mainly with adults, individually and couples. She conducts forensic assessments and works clinically, treating most major mental health conditions and personality disorders. She has a special interest in attachment and trauma disorders.

 

PAGAN EBSARY is a Psychologist at MPS and for many years managed the practice before her young children arrived. In addition to her longstanding MPS role Pagan has also worked within the employment services field with experience in providing EAP services and counselling to job seekers with complex barriers to employment. She has also worked in the Injury Management field, providing vocational rehabilitation services and EAP. Pagan has an interest in psychology applied to the workplace and is currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. Pagan is available for therapeutic services weekly in Dunsborough and the South West of WA.

 

AMY MCALPINE is a Clinical & Forensic Psychologist. Amy has previously worked in private practice, Alcohol and Other Drug treatment settings and correctional settings prior to commencing with MPS in 2016. Amy has experience working clinically with children, adolescents and adults of all ages with behavioural, mental health, and interpersonal issues. She uses behavioural, cognitive behavioural and mindfulness based interventions with a strong focus on the therapeutic relationship.  Amy is also experienced in providing forensic psychological reports for West Australian courts.

 

ALI HUBBARD is a Clinical Psychologist Registrar. Ali has nine years experience working with clients (predominantly children and adolescents) as a psychologist in a large educational setting. This included conducting assessments, counselling, behavioural interventions, and working with families. She also has experience working with adults and older adults with a range of mental health issues. Ali has a special interest in the treatment of trauma, bipolar disorder and personality disorders. She has run group programs with individuals across the lifespan and also find this to be an area of interest. Ali is currently on extended leave from MPS.​

 

VANESSA CAMPBELLis a Clinical Psychologist Registrar. Vanessa joined MPS is early 2018 and works with children, adolescents, and adults. Vanessa’s previous clinical experience includes treating mental health conditions while practicing in government and other agencies. She draws from a variety of treatment approaches to best meet the client’s needs, including cognitive-behavioural, mindfulness, and person-centred approaches. She has a special interest in treating anxiety and problematic substance use. Vanessa is also strong believer in lifelong learning and enjoys studying and applying  different approaches. In 2018 she attended further training on the treatment of mental health conditions for individuals on the Autism Spectrum.

 

MAHI WEISS is a Clinical Psychologist. Mahi joined the practice in late 2018 and had previous extensive experience working in correctional settings (since 2010).  Mahi’s previous experience has predominantly been with children, adolescents and young adults, addressing behavioural, mental health and interpersonal issues.  Mahi also has clinical experience working with adults with mental health issues.  She uses behavioural, cognitive behavioural and mindfulness based interventions in a person-centred and strength-based manner. Mahi has an interest in the treatment of trauma and Alcohol and other Drug use.  Mahi is also experienced in providing forensic psychological reports for West Australian courts.

 

TEESHA BAINES is a Psychologist (M Psych Org). Since completing her Master’s degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Teesha has gained practical experience in many areas including assessment for selection/development, recruitment, culture, wellbeing, diversity, safety, organisational development, change management and training. Teesha is available to provide resume reviews, career transition support, and coaching. She is most passionate about improving wellbeing and diversity in the workplace. Teesha also works therapeutically with clients with depression, anxiety, and work related issues, and utilises cognitive behavioural and mindfulness based interventions.

Collectively, our MPS team have decades of clinical experience providing therapeutic services to individuals, families, organisations (both private and public) and groups across the life span.


Credentials

All of our qualified treating psychologists minimally hold undergraduate Psychology Degrees and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, some additionally have doctoral training and/or qualifications. Our postgraduate university training and respective work histories enable us to provide complex diagnostic assessment, clinical treatment and consultation to employees and their families. All our psychologists receive supervision and attend internal and external professional development courses to ensure their ongoing professionalism and technical expertise. MPS is directed by Angela Martinovich, a Clinical Psychologist and endorsed Forensic Psychologist, with many years of experience providing psychological services to individuals and organisations.
