About Bernadette

Bernadette Mills is a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Psychologist with a strong foundation in therapeutic practice, clinical assessment, and mental health education. She is the Principal Psychologist and founder of Psychology Services Perth Pty Ltd, which includes Joondalup Psychology, Yanchep Psychology, Telehealth Psychology Perth, and Alkimos Psychology, where she leads a team committed to providing accessible, evidence-based psychological care across Perth’s northern corridor and beyond.

Bernadette holds a Master of Applied Psychology (Professional) from Murdoch University and brings extensive experience across public, private, and community sectors. Her background includes working as an alcohol and drug counsellor, delivering school-based mental health services, and conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions for individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Her practice draws on multiple therapeutic modalities- including CBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness- tailored to meet the needs of children, adolescents, and adults. Bernadette has significant expertise in working with comorbid mental health and substance use concerns, trauma-informed care, suicide prevention, and systemic approaches to wellbeing.

She has also been actively involved in training, mentoring, and program evaluation, and has worked collaboratively with schools, NDIS providers, and other government and non-government agencies. Her assessments include cognitive, behavioural, and personality measures such as the WISC-V, WAIS-IV, Vineland-3, ABAS-3, and Conners.

Bernadette is a registered member of the Australian Psychological Society, AHPRA, the School Psychologists’ Association of WA, and the Counselling Association of WA.
